Whether you're already living a plant-based life, are looking to cut down on your meat consumption or are curious to try new some new culinary delights, Veganuary is a great time to explore this animal-free diet.
As a nutritional advisor, I'm here to encourage you to eat more plants but also ensure you're getting the vital vitamins and minerals your body needs. So, here are my top 5 do's and don'ts for Veganuary:
🙋🏼♀️ DO eat a primarily plant-based vegan diet
🙅🏼♀️ DON'T mistake being vegan for an excuse to eat solely processed meat substitutes and sugary baked treats
🙋🏼♀️ DO prepare by finding recipes & ensuring you have the correct ingredients BEFORE you begin cooking
🙅🏼♀️ DON'T skip your supplements if you're making this a long-term switch (vitamin B12, Vitamin D and omega-3s and 6s are three of the most common)
🙅🏼♀️ DO keep going if you slip up. You'll soon see that more foods than you think are made from animal produce
